Senior Manager Standards at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
Thamar Zijlstra works as a senior standards manager at GRI. Currently, she is the project lead for the Topics Standard Project for Pollution. The project sets out to develop standards for air and soil pollution, critical incidents and light, noise and odor, among other things.
Joel Carboni
Founder and President, Green Project Management
Dr. Joel Carboni is the founder of GPM (Green Project Management) and a pioneering force in integrating sustainability into project management worldwide. With more than 25 years of leadership experience across projects, programs, and portfolios in over 60 countries, his influence extends from boardrooms to global policy tables. He represents GPM at the UN Global Compact and helped shape initiatives such as the Business for Peace and the Anti-Corruption Call to Action. His behind-the-scenes role in developing the UN Sustainable Development Goals reflects a lifetime devoted to sustainable progress. As a visiting professor at Skema Business School, he continues to mentor the next generation of leaders.
Taiwo Abraham
Sustainability Thought Leader, Project Management Institute
Taiwo Abraham is a sustainability thought leader at PMI. Combining an advanced degree from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, a PhD specializing in corporate sustainability strategy, 15-year career in project management and industry leading certifications in sustainability such as Green Project Management, GRI’s Certified Sustainability Professional and CFA’s ESG Investing and the PMI’s Project Management Professional certification, he bridges theory and practice of sustainability in organizations.
